KEMA Certification for All of Moxa´s PowerTrans IEC 61850-3 Switches

Moxa–s PowerTrans series of Ethernet Switches, including PT-7710, PT-7728, and the layer 3 model PT-7828, have officially been certified by KEMA´s high voltage laboratories for power supplies 88-300 VDC or 85-264 VAC for

• IEC 61850-3 for EMC immunity, climatic and mechanical conditions
• IEEE 1613 for EMC for immunity, climatic conditions
• IEC 61000-6-2 for EMC for immunity for industrial environments
• IEC 61000-6-4 for EMC for emission for industrial environments
• IEC 61000-6-5 for EMC for immunity in substation environment.

PowerTrans switches provide the highest levels of reliability and availability for substation communications, offering superior EMI/RFI shielding, -40° to 85°C operating range, and redundant media and power for harsh substation environments. Maximum flexibility is achieved by a rugged, modular rackmount design supporting high fiber optic and gigabit port densities, suitable for retrofitting or building new substation networks. The PowerTrans series raise the bar on performance and reliability for Ethernet switches.
In addition, companies working in transportation and railway along track applications will find the EN-50121-4 and NEMA-TS2 certifications a perfect fit for them.
