From 1st September 2012, it has come – any incandescent bulbs will be banned. From now on, incandescent and halogen bulbs may be sold only with the minimum energy C class. Thus, the end of the incandescent bulbs was pronounced.
Another regulation is enter into force on 1st September 2016 – At this particular time, all light bulbs must achieve the minimum energy class B. Through that regulation, the halogen lamp is no longer an option here! Exceptions are clear halogen lamps with R7s and G9 bases. Although these halogen lamps comply only with the energy-efficiency class C, they may continue to be sold on the market.
However, it is worth investing now in a new LED-Glimworm-Product. Permanent increasing electricity rates, the shutdown of power plants, new allocations and the steady increasing share of renewable energies will increase energy costs in the future!
LED products have up to 80% power savings! In addition to the large power savings, LEDs have a much longer lifespan than incandescent bulbs. Thus, the lighting of your project is for the next years secure and your initial investment of the lamp is financed quickly.
The use of energy by the same brightness is achieved much lower with an LED lamp.
Whether private or commercial – LED is the optimal solution. Operate with a clear conscience the light switch – By switching to LED you will not only benefit from money savings and longer lifespan, but also made an important step towards protecting the environment.
If everyone in Germany would be switching to LED, billions of kilowatt hours of energy could be saved and thus the CO2 – emissions would be reduced by millions of tons.
