RAE Systems to Demonstrate Real-Time Gas Detection Data on iPads(R), Smartphones at ASSE Safety 2013

SAN JOSE, CA — (Marketwired) — 06/19/13 — RAE Systems, the leader in , today announced that as part of its ongoing commitment to help advance industrial safety and compliance, the company will demonstrate its wireless area and personal gas and radiation detection monitor in a browser-based “connected threat detection” environment at the (ASSE Safety 2013) at the Las Vegas Convention Center, June 24-26, at Booth #1831.

Industrial organizations cannot afford to risk worker, public, responder and industrial safety when a critical situation arises. Safety officers have been looking for solutions to enhance plant-wide safety in hazardous situations, enable faster response times and leverage real-time data to make critical safety decisions that help save lives and assets.

To address this issue, RAE Systems will demonstrate its latest toxic gas and radiation detection innovations, including data delivered to iPad tablets and smartphones at Safety 2013. The real-time data will be reported from the company–s Portable single-gas monitors, multi-threat detectors, radiation detectors, transportable multi-gas and radiation instruments, and biometric devices and third-party instruments.

Workplace standards organizations such as the (OSHA) continue to constantly-update acceptable levels of toxic gas exposure to personnel. The cost of ignoring potential public environmental asset and worker safety is a high risk to major global organizations. As a result, the need to comply with regulations and legislation, protect assets, mitigate risk, and ensure worker safety now requires organizations deploy innovative, high-performance yet competitively priced gas detection solutions via an advanced system approach. Also, when disaster strikes, site safety managers need real-time detection systems that enable them to make critical, split-second decisions.

“When a critical situation arises, safety teams need to know what is going on throughout the facility as soon as the incident occurs,” stated Thomas Negre, vice president of products and marketing for RAE Systems. “With the ProRAE Guardian–s expanded mobile capabilities, safety officers now have instantaneous access to real-time situational threat data at their fingertips for faster, more informed process control and safety decisions.”

RAE Systems ProRAE Guardian Wireless Safety Monitoring System enhances plant-wide safety and organizational compliance across a wide range of industrial monitoring applications, including fenceline and remote monitoring, plant turn around, indoor air quality monitoring, chemical leak detection, GPS-location and biometric tracking and confined space entry.

The company also will demonstrate new additions to its family of ToxiRAE Pro wireless single-gas monitors that add functionality and enhance threat detection. These upgrades include , the industry–s first wireless single-gas CO2 monitor, with integrated “man-down” alarm and a unique compliance-check feature now available in all ToxiRAE Pro instruments, as well as the new AutoRAE 2 Test and Calibration Cradle for all ToxiRAE Pros.

RAE Systems Global Training Manager, Dave Lambert, and Director of Product Management, Bobby Sheikhan, will instruct attendees on, “The Theory on Gas Detection,” Tuesday, June 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The presentation will include wireless gas detection principles and technologies, electro-chemical, PID, LED and LEL sensors, compliance and plant safety.
