PowerStream Recognized for Its Employee Engagement

VAUGHAN, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 08/27/12 — PowerStream was named today as one of the in Canada. This annual award recognizes top employers that display leadership and innovation towards engaging their employees.

A panel of judges selected PowerStream for the award through an evaluation process in which applicants were considered based on Achievers– Eight Elements of Employee Engagement – communication, leadership, culture, rewards and recognition, professional and personal growth, vision and values as well as corporate social responsibility.

The electric utility, which serves customers in communities located immediately north of Toronto and in Central Ontario, will be honoured alongside other recipients of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Award at an awards gala to be held on November 14, 2012 at the Arcadian Court in Toronto, Ontario.

Achievers, a San Francisco-based human resources consulting firm with offices in Toronto that specializes in employee recruitment and retention, believes that employee engagement not only has a positive impact on employees but also a company–s bottom line.
