Mr. John C.S. Lau Retires from Husky Asia Pacific

CALGARY, ALBERTA — (Marketwire) — 07/19/11 — Husky Energy Inc. (TSX: HSE) announces that John C.S. Lau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Husky Asia Pacific, has decided to retire with effect from today.

Mr. Lau has been with Husky since 1993. Mr. Lau stepped down from his role as President and Chief Executive Officer at Husky Energy last year and relocated back to Hong Kong to assume responsibility for leading the development of Husky–s businesses in the Asia Pacific region, including existing businesses in Indonesia and the South China Sea.

Having established the framework for Husky–s business development in the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Lau has decided to step down and enjoy his well-earned retirement.

The Co-Chairman of Husky Energy, Mr. Canning Fok, thanked Mr. Lau for his contributions over the past two decades and wished him all the best in the years to come.
