CH2M HILL Appoints Dennis Ferrera President of Nuclear Business Group

DENVER, CO — (Marketwire) — 10/05/12 — CH2M HILL (), a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm, announces the appointment of Dennis Ferrera as President of its Nuclear Business Group effective January 1, 2013. He succeeds Mark Fallon, who will become Managing Director, UK/Europe Region. In this role Ferrera will serve as the senior executive responsible for all nuclear activities within CH2M HILL across the liabilities management, commercial nuclear power and national security markets.

Currently, Ferrera is the Chief Operating Officer for CH2M HILL–s Nuclear Business Group where he serves as the global operational leader of all nuclear projects and/or limited liability companies serving the government and commercial clients.

Ferrera brings more than 30 years of experience in leading complex projects and programs in the areas of infrastructure management, decommissioning, manufacturing and environmental remediation. He has managed projects with budgets over $1billion and more than 1,200 personnel, comprising both union and non-union professional employees.

In his most recent project assignment Ferrera served as the Program Manager for Enabling Works for the London 2012 Olympics Program. This program to prepare the 600-acre London Olympic site included environmental remediation, site preparation, logistics and security. The Enabling Works Program received the prestigious United Kingdom Construction Industry Special Judges Award for 2010. Ferrera also brings extensive nuclear program management experience having served in senior program roles on the Rocky Flats Closure Project in Colorado and the Hanford Tank Farms Operations project in Washington for the U.S. Department of Energy. Ferrera brings a wealth of experience in the safe and successful execution of some of CH2M HILL–s most complex programs to his new role as President of the Nuclear Business Group.

Ferrera holds a master–s degree in material science from the University of California at San Joe and a bachelor–s degree in metallurgical engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
