WINAICO receives JPEC certification for Japanese Market

21.01.2014 – WINAICO, a division of Taiwan´s biggest module manufacturer Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd., has received the JPEC registration for its modules including the 290W PERC 60 cell and 220W PERC 48 cell modules.

The JPEC certification is administrated by the Japanese Photovoltaic Energy Association and its purpose is to certify that PV modules used for small-scale roof mounted systems fulfill the technical requirements on module performance and quality along with after-sales-services and warranties as required in Japan. WINAICO is the first module manufacturer in Japan to receive JPEC certification for the new 60 cell 290W PERC modules and has announced that the 48 cell 220W PERC residential modules are certified as well.

“We at WINAICO are very excited to be the first company to receive certification for 290W PERC modules and will now be able to offer our whole range of high efficiency modules for small-scale systems in Japan. The unique features of our PERC modules such as superior yield per square meter and excellent performance under weak-light conditions are especially relevant for small systems in Japan. WINAICO will of course continue to supply the well-received WST polycrystalline project module series to customers” says Loftur Thorarinsson, Representative Director of WINAICO Japan.
