Greenway Releases Field Study Results From Costa Rica and Las Vegas

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — (Marketwire) — 02/15/12 — (PINKSHEETS: GDGI) today released results of field studies that were conducted in Costa Rica and Las Vegas. The studies verify how significantly reduces energy consumption of standard split system commercial air conditioning.

The studies, which are available to the public, show significant savings at the Jaco branch office of Banco Nacional de Costa Rica and a large network and data center located in Las Vegas, NV. According to the studies, when the Cool-n-Save system was activated, the HVAC system in Costa Rica reduced energy consumption by 27.95%; in Las Vegas, the result was 26.2%.

“Outdoor heat is a problem for most air conditioning systems,” says Darius Jakubik, Greenway–s senior vice president. “The more heat there is, the less efficiently AC systems work and the more energy they use. Cool-n-Save–s job is to reduce the temperature of outdoor air as it is being blown through the condensing coils.”

White papers from universities and utilities also report the benefits of cooling outdoor air around condensing coils. According to a white paper published by Colorado Springs Utilities, air conditioning equipment will use 25 percent less energy when outdoor temperatures are at 70 degrees F than it will at 95 degrees.

“Our field studies bear out all claims,” says Jakubik. “We have seen the same results, whether high humidity or low, in every installation we have done for the last five years. Cool-n-Save can save a significant amount of money for building owners.”

The field study in Costa Rica reports that Cool-n-Save will produce an annual cash savings of as much as $11,475(USD) from the reduction of air conditioning energy costs. The costs savings for the site in Las Vegas, where the operational demand of a data center is much higher, the annual cost savings is about $80,000. “And in both cases,” adds Jakubik, “the return on investment from installation and maintenance for one year, is less than 12 months.”

Greenway Design Group has been developing evaporative pre-cool misting technology for commercial and residential air conditioning since 2005. Greenway recently won the Harvey Mudd College/TechAmerica High-Tech Innovation Award for Green Engineering. Cool-n-Save is available for commercial and residential air conditioning systems.

Commercial Cool-n-Save systems also feature HERO, a high-efficiency turn-key water treatment and mechanical filtration system also patented by the company. Cool-n-Save is manufactured and marketed in the U.S.A. For more information about Greenway Design Group, Inc. and Cool-n-Save, call 714-892-0011 or visit and .
