Fusion of Independent Service Providers: seebaWIND Service takes over Service4Wind

Osnabruck, Germany 04.12.2014. seebaWIND Service GmbH will be taking over the business operations of its network partner Service4Wind as of 1 January 2015. The manufacturer-independent service provider will continue to employee all of Service4Wind’s employees in Osnabruck and Mücke. Thanks to the takeover, seebaWIND will look after around 50 additional wind power plants and expand its portfolio by adding plants manufactured by DeWind.

Service4Wind GmbH & Co KG has specialised in the service and maintenance of wind power plants from Nordex and DeWind as well as the MD series, which was produced by Senvion (formerly REpower) and Fuhrländer as well as by Nordex. “For this reason, Service4Wind fits well into our company’s specific orientation, making it easy for us to use synergies”, says seebaWIND managing director Severin Mielimonka. “By taking over DeWind plants and a corresponding replacement part warehouse, we and the Service4Wind employees can now increasingly concentrate upon these plant models.”

Combining Expertise

As founding members of the manufacturer-independent competence network Windnetwork 360°, seebaWIND and Service4Wind have been working closely with each other for four years, developing joint market strategies and educating their personnel together. Indeed, they have had offices and a warehouse in the same building in Osnabruck since 2011. Since then, seebaWIND has been monitoring the contracted plants of Service4Wind customers via a modern remote monitoring centre.

“The takeover is primarily due to the current market situation”, explains Thomas Schinke, founder and partner of Service4Wind. The market of freelance and manufacturer-independent service providers requires an increasingly larger and more flexible range of services, among those the delivery and exchange of large components, full-maintenance plans as well as quicker and quicker reaction times. “Together with seebaWIND we can live up to these demands and continue to offer the quality our customers want. Seen strategically, this fusion is a logical step for both partners.”
